Taylor Duncan is a passionate vocalist and music educator dedicated to helping students build confidence, develop their skills, and discover a lifelong love of music. She earned her Associate of Music from Mineral Area College before completing her bachelor's degree at Central Methodist University.
Taylor's musical journey began in high school, where she participated in every choir available and competed in numerous solo and small ensemble performances. Throughout her education, she had the opportunity to study with outstanding vocal instructors, including Paula Martin of Jefferson College and Sherry Francis of Mineral Area College. She also devoted extensive time to studying music theory and developing her piano skills.
While attending Mineral Area College, Taylor discovered a passion for musical theatre, performing in productions such as Sweeney Todd, Matilda, and Little Shop of Horrors. Her experiences in choral music, solo performance, theatre, piano, and music theory have shaped her into a well-rounded musician who understands both the joys and challenges of learning music.
Outside of teaching, Taylor enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and serving alongside her husband as Youth Pastors at their church.
Taylor is excited to be part of MAFAA and looks forward to inspiring students of all ages to grow in their musical abilities, build confidence, and achieve their personal goals through music.
